Cosmetic Tattoo Services
First things first: is PMU (Permanent Makeup) right for you?
We’re pro-results and ruthless about safety. We won’t proceed if any of the below apply right now:
-
Pregnant
-
Active viral illness or infection
-
Botox in the treatment area within 14 days
-
Filler in the treatment area within 28 days
-
Currently sick (cold/flu-like symptoms)
-
Accutane or similar in the last 6 months
-
Keloid scarring in the treatment area
You’ll need written medical clearance if you:
-
Are undergoing chemotherapy (doctor’s consent required)
-
Are nursing (breastfeeding)
-
Are diabetic
-
Have epilepsy/seizure history
-
Have had an organ transplant
Bottom line: if your health or timing says “not today,” we’ll reschedule. Brows are optional—safety isn’t.
What to expect
-
Two-step journey. Most clients need a touch-up to lock in shape and color.
-
Healing shifts daily. Expect a 14-day surface heal and up to 4 weeks for color to settle.
-
The “ghost” phase. Strokes can look pale after flaking—new skin is masking pigment. They reappear as the skin clarifies.
-
Skin type matters.
-
Oily skin: strokes heal softer/more powdery.
-
Dry skin: strokes heal crisper.
-
Heavy bleeders: may need extra refinement—blood can push out pigment.
-
Before your appointment (read this or risk a reschedule)
-
48 hours prior: No alcohol, caffeine, aspirin, ibuprofen, niacin, or other blood thinners (unless prescribed—talk to your doc).
-
2 weeks prior: No retinoids, Vitamin A, glycolics, or exfoliants on the brow area.
-
Brow grooming: No waxing/shaping within 2 days. If tinting, do it ≥1 week before.
-
Injectables: No Botox within 2 weeks, no filler within 4 weeks (and avoid both for 4 weeks after PMU).
-
Bring your baseline: If you love a certain brow shape, arrive wearing your usual brow makeup so we can see your style.
Aftercare: first 14 days (do this, exactly)
-
Cleanse gently morning & night for 7–10 days: lather a mild cleanser in your hands, then lightly wash brows.
-
Dry completely—pat/blot with a clean towel. No water pooling on brows.
-
Ointment: Apply a tiny amount (think one rice grain per brow) AM & PM with clean fingers—unless we advise a dry heal for oily skin.
-
Hands off. Do not pick flakes. Let them fall on their own to avoid patchiness and scarring.
Hard no’s (protect your results)
For 10 days minimum:
-
No sun/UV exposure (and afterward, SPF 50 is non-negotiable)
-
No heavy sweating or hot yoga/saunas/steam rooms/pools
-
No direct shower spray on brows
-
No Vaseline, makeup, creams, exfoliants, retinoids, AHA/BHA on brows
-
No facials, peels, microneedling, or skin treatments
-
No tanning; if you must, cover brows
-
No laser/light therapies on the brow area (color can shift)
Touch-ups & timing
-
Wait at least 4 weeks before deciding on a touch-up—color needs time to settle.
-
Most touch-ups happen within 3 months of the first session.
-
Think of it as: Session 1 = build shape & symmetry. Session 2 = perfect & add density.
-
Some skin simply needs additional passes—we’ll tell you straight.
You’re responsible for booking your touch-up. High demand is real; if you return very faded, extra fees may apply.
Long-term care (keep them fresh)
-
Results vary by skin, lifestyle, and aftercare—there are no guaranteed outcomes.
-
Use SPF 50 daily on healed brows.
-
Avoid chemical exfoliants/retinoids on the brows.
-
Avoid lasers on the area (can darken/lighten pigment).
-
Expect strokes to soften over time—maintenance every 9–24 months is typical.
-
Hair-stroke brows generally last 1–3 years before a refresh.
